Hello, my name is Bob Orther, I’m better known as Dr. Bob. I have been a part of the Soundproofing Industry since 2002. I am now a part owner of my own Soundproofing company I have been working with this company for nearly 4 years. The Company name is Soundproofing America Inc. It is not the largest soundproofing company on the planet, but we make up for our size by giving our customers outstanding service before and after the sale. We treat our customers the way we would like to be treated and that has been the hallmark of our business since it’s inception in 2004.
We carry a vast array of Soundproof barriers, foams, and soundproof flooring as well as noise damping compounds like the Green Glue visco elastic damping compound. We also carry the Sonex Pinta line of acoustical ceiling and wall treatments. Our inventory of soundproof insulations and foams is unsurpassed and we also carry the finest in soundproof floor underlays and wall and ceiling soundproofing agents.
Another wonderful product that we carry is the America mass loaded vinyl barrier in either the 1Lb or the 2Lb variety. Mass loaded vinyl have been the cornerstone of the soundproofing industry for nearly 20 years. MLV (for short) is a vinyl barrier material that is impregnated with barium salts and silica to give it mass and density. MLV is generally considered to be the equivalent of lead sheeting but without the hazards associated with lead. We have sold mass loaded vinyl since we first began this business and we believe in it as a safe and effective soundproofing product.
We also carry a wide variety of soundproof foams and soundproof insulations that can be used in any residential, commercial or industrial application. They are class A building materials, and the majority of our products are Green Products and many are Leeds certified Green.
Lastly, we carry the Green Glue visco elastic damping compound. The Green Glue is applied between 2 layers of drywall, or sheet rock and acts to damp both layers of drywall and essentially removes the drywalls ability to transmit sound. Green Glue is by far the best retrofit soundproofing agent available anywhere.
